The Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) was organized and conducted for trainees in technical skill development programs, including a five-day session specifically for selected women entrepreneurs in Kasaragod District, Kerala. Additionally, the program facilitated EDP training for participants of the Vocational Training Programme of Santhigram NGO, empowering them with essential entrepreneurial skills.
 
 
 
Training on 'Project Planning and Proposal Writing': Provided hands-on training in planning, designing, and writing project proposals.
Promotion of Networks: Networked with organizations to strengthen advocacy and lobbying efforts aimed at addressing unemployment among dropout youth and the unorganized sector.
Linkages Building Initiatives: Established connections with GTZ and DGE&T during the pilot project "Service Cells for Employment and Self Employment" and initiated relationships with foreign donors and government departments to mobilize resources and strengthen the sector.
Joint Meeting of FVTF and Adhwana: Created a platform for mutual understanding and future collaboration.
 
Participatory Planning for Program Implementation: Strengthened the functional vocational training (FVT) program by facilitating participatory program implementation planning in partner organizations.
Participatory Evaluation: Evaluated FVT projects of several NGOs.
Group Monitoring: Five teams visited five projects, preparing and forwarding reports to FVTF.
 
Sustainable livelihood promotion initiatives were implemented to foster local economic growth among SC communities and marginalized groups. These included conducting functional vocational training programs to equip participants with skills for employment or self-employment, providing financial support to Dalit families for micro-income-generating activities such as goat rearing, and supporting Dalit empowerment projects focused on education and skill-building initiatives. These efforts aimed to create sustainable livelihoods and promote economic independence within these communities.
Micro Insurance: The Jeevan Madhur micro-insurance program was implemented to support local economic resilience, with ongoing efforts to promote the scheme. This initiative has already benefited over 300 individuals, providing them with financial security and contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
 
 
Assignments of Adhwana Consultancy Services: Established a unit for providing consultancy services in project management, research, and studies for NGOs and agencies. The first assignment was an evaluation of Santhigram’s Women Development Project.
 
 
 
Operations and maintenance of St. Xavier’s Community College and trained 500 school dropout youth annually leading them to employment or self-employment in partnership with Trivandrum Social Service Society (TSSS), National Institute for Open Schooling (NIOS), Madras Centre for Research and Development of Community Education (MCRDCE) and HILFSWERK HILFE ZUR, Liechtenstein.

Adhwana implemented a women empowerment project from January 2003 to June 2024 in seven coastal areas of Trivandrum, benefiting housewives, fish vending women, adolescents, and fishermen in partnership with Trivandrum Social Service Society (TSSS), Calcatta Ondoan, Spain and local bodies in Trivandrum Municipal Corporation. The project formed Self-Help Groups (SHGs), forums, and federated higher groups, working with local bodies on activities such as skill development, livelihood promotion, awareness sessions, and environmental conservation. Key outcomes included enhanced knowledge of social issues, livelihood support, organic gardening, anti-violence sensitization, and environmental responsibility. Additionally, many women received training in employment and self-employment trades.
 
Adhwana, in collaboration with the Trivandrum Social Service Society (TSSS) and the Italian Bishops Conference, supported the reconstruction and development efforts for victims of the Ockhi cyclone in Trivandrum, India. The initiative focused on providing relief, rebuilding livelihoods, and addressing the long-term needs of affected communities through various support programs aimed at enhancing resilience and sustainable development.
